Meet The Sprinters

While working on the Demon Realm, we set out to create a menagerie of baddies that would hamper your attempts of freeing the trapped spirits. The first one in our list was a patrolling demon that would meander around various locations while also having a true line of sight gameplay mechanic… so that they could spot you and give chase!
Sprinters are tough little buggers who, as their name suggests, are faster than Ada. The good news is that they have a short range of action. If they get close, they’ll strike and hurt you, so I suggest that you sneak up on them and then take them out with your psychic powers … or avoid them altogether by using the decorations and furniture in the various rooms that can aid you!
And later in the game, you’ll also be able to distract the Sprinters with gruesome food you can leave for them to feast on!
Sprinters have the most code in the game thanks to a whole bunch of alert systems that they need to behave the way they do. They can hear things like water splashes, and can even alert their friends if they need help chasing you down.
We also wanted to give you a heads-up about a Kickstarter project that is doing wonderfully: Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition!
Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition is a farming adventure where you will have to take care of your tiny planet. Farm, craft, fight and explore the universe of Deiland in this adventure with exclusive content for Nintendo Switch.
Discover the story of Arco in this single-player experience, a tale about growing up, helping others and revealing the secrets that lie on the heart of your planet. We’ve crafted a relaxing game, with a strong narrative and a cast of diverse characters for you to meet.
Musical Interlude #1

It's time for a new Kickstarter update! Wednesday is in full swing, and we're thrilled to announce that Sunshine Manor is now 90% funded! For today's update, we want to give you a chance to check out some of the songs that will be included in the Sunshine Manor soundtrack - which you can get in physical format on an old-school cassette by pledging for a Kickstarter Exclusive Nintendo Switch Sunshine Edition of the Sunshine Anthology!
For Camp Sunshine, music became an integral part of the game. We worked hard to build up a soundtrack that would be integral to the experience!
For Sunshine Manor, rather than just creating generic background music, we wanted to build up motifs and themes that ran through the entire soundtrack, that would hopefully contribute towards complementing the themes of the characters.
To retain the 1980s infused feel of the game, we are using synthesizers such as the classic Yamaha DX7, the Yamaha CS80 and the Roland Jupiter 8!
For today’s update, we wanted to give you an idea of what you’ll get to hear in Sunshine Manor, so here are a couple of previews for your journey through the demon realm!
Before we go, we wanted to talk a bit about another project on Kickstarter you might want to check out: Early Haunts!
Early Haunts is a 100-page graphic novel anthology that brings together early ghosts stories that inspired the creation of literary classics such as Frankenstein! These stories include The House in Athens, The Death Bride, The Wild Huntsman, and The Tale from Dish Mansion.
The Early Haunts campaign is working towards reaching some bonus stretch goals, on top of the already unlocked limited edition art print, and the augmented reality animated pages!

With 18 days to go, Sunshine Manor is now over 85% funded! Before starting with today's update, we want to talk about something you've been asking us about.
After Friday's feature on Graham Humpreys, we've had many requests for having the cover art he'll be working on for the Sunshine Anthology available as a print, and we're here to bring you great news!
There's now a new reward tier called Dream Warriors, which features a Limited Edition Print for the cover art that Graham Humpreys will be providing as the Kickstarter Exclusive art for the Sunshine Anthology physical Nintendo Switch edition. The even better news? Graham Humpreys will sign this print! That's right, if you hurry up and pledge for the Dream Warriors reward tier, you can get a Limited Edition Print signed by Graham Humpreys himself! There's a very limited number of signed prints available, so when they're gone, they're gone!
Also, a ton of you are currently pledging for a physical Premium Edition Nintendo Switch copy of the Sunshine Anthology with all of its Kickstarter Exclusive items - or for the Kickstarter Exclusive Sunshine Edition - and have asked us if there was a way to pledge for additional copies of the Premium Edition or the Sunshine Edition. Well, today we're here to tell you there most certainly is a way for you to do this!
If you want an extra copy of the Premium Edition Nintendo Switch physical copy, you can add £45 to your current pledge without changing your reward tier.
If you want to add an extra copy of the Kickstarter Exclusive Sunshine Edition, then you can add £89 to your current pledge without changing your reward tier.
As we've mentioned before, shipping costs will be collected next year once your physical rewards are ready to ship. And now, back to our regularly scheduled content!
Gnarlie is a character that we’ve wanted to include in a game for a long time. We originally had plans to have a pet in Camp Sunshine, but it just didn’t click with the overall feeling of helplessness we wanted to be a constant in that adventure. Who’d be afraid when they have this loveable mutt by their side?
We’ve spent a lot of time on Gnarlie’s behavior, since we found that in a lot of games pets can be a little frustrating when you’re trying to battling the bad guys, only for your pet to get in the way!
Gnarlie is a good boy, and knows when to keep himself to himself and sit in the corner, but he also knows when The Shadow Man is close by, and will ruff and bark to let you know he’s coming!
See that little knapsack around his neck? You can use that for some extra storage so you don’t lose all the important items you’ll find as you travel between the human and demon realms!
Gnarlie’s look is actually modelled after one of our real-life dogs … so please be extra kind to him!
