It's Alive!" and higher reward tiers, and are currently working towards unlocking two more songs for the synthwave soundtrack for Sunshine Manor!

A Change of Clothes
about 1 year ago – Wed, Nov 04, 2020 at 10:24:26 PM

Back in the development days of Camp Sunshine we wanted to include costumes that granted our hero unique abilities in its fight against a marauding killer bear mascot. As we worked on Camp Sunshine, the tone of the game gradually became more slasher film, and less mystical, and as such, we decided to keep this option for another time… and the time has come!

Sunshine Manor is more magical than Camp Sunshine, we felt we had a chance to include costumes that grant Ada some fun and interesting ways to get rid of demons or to, say, exorcise The Shadow Man!

The first costume we designed was the Plasmancer, which gives Ada a great four-way energy attack. This is perfect for when you’ll be surrounded by demons that are out for blood. It has a very quick charge, allowing Ada to shoot deadly plasma spheres in all four directions!

Once you have collected a costume, you’ll be able to access it from the in-game wardrobe, where you can quickly equip any of the costumes in your collection.

We have a whole host of them hidden away that we’ll hope you’ll enjoy digging up. Speaking of digging up:

We also want to take a moment to talk to you about another game on Kickstarter: Clan O'Conall!

Clan O’Conall is an action-packed platformer with an eye-catching art style.

You will journey with the three siblings of Clan O’Conall - Kilcannon the Swordmaster, Clakshot the Hunter, and Haggish the Brute through the swamps, ruins and peaks of Hibernia to save your Father, recover the Crown of the Stag, and stop the Mother of Demons from dooming humanity.

Clan O’Conall takes action platforming to a new level with Active Swapping, letting you swap characters mid-stride, mid-jump, and even mid-combo. With an endless combination of combos, platforming tricks, and good old berserker ingenuity, every moment is yours to seize. They're very close to funding, so please give them a look and try the demo available right now!

Ada Gets An Extra Costume! + New Stretch Goal!
about 1 year ago – Wed, Nov 04, 2020 at 10:28:10 AM

The Stretch Goal for adding a new costume and power for Ada to use in Sunshine Manor has now been unlocked, which means it's time to reveal a new one to take its place! If you help us reach £25,000, everyone pledging at the "It's Alive..." reward tier and higher tiers will get a free limited edition enamel pin!

Who will be on the enamel pin? Well, Ada, of course! Here's a preview for the enamel pin that is so close to becoming a reality!

We also want to take a moment to bring some attention to the Kickstarter campaign for The Monochrome RPG Episode One!

The game sets out to deliver an RPG that pays homage to the Golden Age of the Roaring Twenties, as you can see from its 1920s-infused characters and setting... not to mention the animation!

Meet The Devourer
about 1 year ago – Mon, Nov 02, 2020 at 11:56:52 PM

October might be over and Halloween is now gone, but that doesn't mean there's nothing for Ada to celabrate... since today is Dia de Muertos!

On top of this, the Kickstarter for Sunshine Manor is now at over 117% in funding, with the Stretch Goal for Ada to get a new costume within reach!

You’ve met The Shadow Man, the Sprinters, the Spinners, and even Vestasia, and now it’s time to meet a new type of demon.

First, the good news. You’ll be happy to hear that not all demons are going to chase you down! Meet the Devourer. This demon likes to take things at a more leisurely pace, and is more concerned with where his next meal is coming from, rather than eating you, since you’re not much of a snack.

The only problem is that when he’s hungry, he’ll eat and eat and eat… until he’s ready to pop! That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t fear him, because demons are not to be trusted!

Fun Fact

Most of the Devourers’ sounds in the game come from our dog Mollie, who was in seventh heaven as she got to eat a lot of treats and peanut butter when we were trying to record the right sounds for this demon. Oh, and the Devourer's breathing is also her snoring when she’s sleeping!

Before we go, we wanted to point you to a Kickstarter campaign to check out: Tiny Creatures Alphabet!

Tiny Creatures Alphabet is an illustrated abecedary with a very particular theme since it presents a childish version of characters that you know from horror and fantasy film and literature. Every page includes anecdotes or trivia from the characters or comments from project creator David G. Fores, both in English and Spanish.

Cthulhu, Dracula, Freddy, Gollum, Hannibal Lecter, Jason Voorhees, and the always classic zombie, all are included in the Tiny Creatures Alphabet. Be sure to check it out!
